  Overall, I am not satisfied with the fibreglass work done on my boat. I have 2 spots on my boat that were done very poorly. The original quote I got was $450 and I paid $500 to get another stone chip fixed.
  
  The first one is a small chip in a corner on my boat. The work was touched up with gel coat, instead of filling it up and blending it in with the rest of the fibreglass. Also the touch up gel coat was different colour to the boat's gel coat.
  
  The second one is a crack or a stress fracture on the side panel on my boat. The crack to the gel coat was about 3 fingers high and wide. This job was done twice. The first time, the gel coat was not sanded and the curved corner was not straight.
  
  After it was done again, it was sanded and blended better, but it was still not smooth as I can see where the new and old gel coat meet. The color was different also! The side panel was removable, but it was gel coated to the floor. When I highlighted my concern that I need to be able to remove the panel, the repairer scored a line without cleaning up the gel coat on the floor.
  
  The carpet was peeled up as a result of the work, but it was not glued down properly. The glue went through the carpet and damaged a small section of the carpet. The carpet was only glued where the eyes can see. Half of it was hanging in the air when I bend down to check.
  
  The top of my back seat was scratched, could be due to the polisher/grinder hitting it.
  
  Other areas on the boat was not covered and as a result, gel coat spray were all over my battery, and stuck to some other areas on the boat.
  
  There were 2 spots on the boat that were done properly and I was happy with the work, but these were overshadowed by very poorly work done on the side fibreglass panel.
  
  I have spent most of today re-gluing the carpet, removed the excess gel coat on the flooring, cleaning up the gel coat spray from my battery and other panels, re-sanding the new gel coat. The customer should never have to do this after they pay good money to have it repaired by a professional.
  
  Overall, I am very disappointed with the work and I would not recommend to family and friends looking to repair their boats.
  
  P.S. I thanked him for the work as courtesy, but I was not happy with the work. I was going to ask for it to be re-done, but I couldn't be bothered as I was worried it may end up worse. Also, please don't make up stories to justify your poor work. If the work was worth $1000 and you quoted me $500, well, it is not my fault. The quality should not be reduced to match your under quoting.
